Julian has had a career spanning over 30 years as a solicitor in both City and West End firms specialising in litigation and dispute resolution. He is particularly experienced in engineering, construction, oil and gas and infrastructure disputes, he is also an acknowledged expert in Alternative Dispute Resolution

He has been an accredited mediator since 1992 and was a director of CEDR (Centre for Dispute Resolution, the UK’s leading ADR provider) from inception in the early 1990s until November 2000. He is a member of the Construction Contracts Mediation Group and on the panel of mediators for ADR Chambers, acts as an adjudicator and is on the Royal Institution of British Architects and Construction Industry Council panels. He regularly writes on legal issues in the construction sector and is a case notes editor of the Construction Law Journal.
