“We’re pleased to announce the launch of the British Building Conference – the Federation of Master Builders’ first ever national policy conference.
The theme for this year’s conference will be ‘Building a better future’ and it will provide industry leaders, policy makers and Master Builders with a platform to explore some of the key challenges now and in the future.
Small and medium-sized (SME) construction firms are the backbone of the UK construction industry and without a flourishing SME sector, the Government will not be able to build the homes and infrastructure projects the country so desperately needs. Not only that, construction SMEs are some of the most innovative and forward-thinking businesses in our sector – they have to be to survive in a competitive and challenging business environment.
The British Building Conference, which I know will become a much-anticipated gem of the policy conference season, is unique in that it will focus on solutions to unlocking productivity and innovation among our small, local construction firms. This year, that means debating subjects as diverse as Brexit, artificial intelligence, offsite construction and licensing of builders.
So, I look forward to welcoming you to the British Building Conference on 4th December and more importantly still, I look forward to your contribution to this crucial debate.”
